Jackson Hayes's "confident Kilgore is entertainingly execrable”

Jackson is a New York based stage, film, and TV actor who has performed in regional theatre, Off Broadway, national, and international touring theatre productions. Recent appearances include Wyatt in the New York Premiere of Chisa Hutchinson's The Bleeding Class at 59E59th; Tope Oshin/Léon Global Media's latest feature film, Where Love Lies, now on Netflix; as prosecutor Jack Crawley in FX’s A Wilderness of Errors based on Errol Morris's book about Jeffrey MacDonald; and in several independent shorts and features including Bastards by Tiancheng Bao/Paradox Films; and The Walker by Tzvi Friedman.

 

An avid performance maker, he has written, directed, produced, and performed in Poland, Sweden, South Korea, 43 of the United States, and in the New York area at 59E59th, Dixon Place, Vital Theatre, The Museum of Modern Art, Queens Museum, Panoply Performance Lab, Rikers Island Prison Complex, and Opera Theatre of Montclair. 

 

Also active as a teacher, he has led classes and workshops in playwriting, physical theatre, and devising at Princeton, NYU/Tisch, Portland State University, University of Oregon, Acorn Community High School, Korea National University of the Arts, Folkkultur Centrum in Sweden, and Stacja Szamocin in Poland.

 

Jackson holds an M.A. in performance studies from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts and a certificate in professional actor training from the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre. He co-founded Ominous Horse Theatre Company in Portland, Oregon, and was artistic associate at Dixon Place in NYC for three years where he produced many performance projects.
